The Royal Project Exhibition in Europe4/13/2007 "See the Developing Highland"
The Royal Project The Royal Project is the world’s most successful ‘drug-crop replacement’ project. Initiated in 1969 by His Majesty the King, Bhumibol Adulyadej, the project has completely removed opium-growing from its project areas by introducing new and better crops that allow farmers to earn better incomes. The Royal Project now supports more than 100,000 people living in Thailand’s northern highland area, and its success has been recognized in such awards as the Ramon Magsaysay Award and the Colombo Plan award. To mark the occasion of His Majesty the King’s 80th birthday, the Royal Project Foundation is proud to present an exhibition on the history, operations and achievements of the Royal Project, entitled ‘See the Developing Thai Highlands’ to be held in Stockholm and Copenhagen. All those interested are invited to attend and to learn about one of the world's most successful development projects.

‘See the Developing Thai Highlands’ is an exhibition to mark the occasion of His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary on 5th December 2007. The Exhibition is to be hosted by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand and the chairman of the Royal Project Foundation, His Serene Highness Prince Bhisatej Rajani. The Exhibition will open on 12 June 2007, at Bygningskulturens Hus, Copenhagen, and will move to Munchen-Bryggeriet, Stockholm, for June 15 and 16. There will be no entry fee.
